Constipation: Main cause of disease
Accumulation of waste product in large instenting is known as constipation.
Three functions:
1) Absorption of water
2) Whatever is not digested or unabsorbed in small intestine goes to large intestine. Large intestine absorbs it
3) Whatever is left out sends to excretory organs.
Large intestine is 6 feet long. Food move fowards with Peristatic movements (अकुन्चन -संकुन्चन )
Factors that effects to large intestine.
1) Bile- Manages peristatic movement
2) Chokar (Fiber) in food
3) Carbohydrate in food
4) Acid (खटटा ) in food.
5) Fat
6) Food
7) Exercise
Some situations which relaxes large intestine and cause constipation
1) Liquid food
2) refined food- junk food
3) Milk kalpa
4) Fasting
5) Worries
6) Heat
7) Intoxicants
Habits creating constipation
Fast rapid eating
Lack of fibre
Milk
Very less food
Fried roast food
frequently fasting
Too much spices
Too much tea coffee
Not drinking water when thirst
irregular sleep
Less exercise or no exercise
Stoping the excrerion
Using Western toilet
Result of constipation
Headache
Calf pain
Lethergy
चिड्चिडापन
weakness
Insomnia
Fearful dreams
Not feeling energetic in the morning or lazy
Willing to sleep all the time

Treatment:
High roufage fruits- Guava अमरुद , Naseberry चिकु , pomegranate.
4 अंजीर , 50 gram munakka, 50 gram kismis, 50 gram खजुर ie 20 piece.

Millet, coconut water,
Therapy
1) Normal water hip bath - long duration in summer , short duration in winter. Depends patient to patient. 2-15 minutes.
2) Don't wet other part of the body after hip bath.
3) Mud pack on abdomen.
4) Hot- cold hip bath
