Enima

 Enima:

If excretion is not happening naturally, to release the waste of large intestine.This therapy is given. This is free from side effects.

Tools:
Bed, rubber tube, nosal chathader
vasline or oil, detol or anticipated

Types of enima:
1) Normal enima- Gentle warm Water 98.6 degree ferenhite to 99 degree one or 1.25  liter.

2)  Tonic Enima 250 350 ml, temp 80-84degree ferenhite
Generally this is given to release weakness of large intestine and give vigor to the large intestine.

3) Hot water enima: Generally fit for weak or old people: 500 ml, little warmer than lukewarm

4) Holding Enima: 100- 150 ml. Water is hold overnight. It is normal temperature water.

5) Mixed Enima: Herbal medicine or lemon juice or garlic juice etc. may be mixed. For example oil and water enima for dryness, neem water for kide in stomach, vayu problem garlic water, IBS- छाच water

1-6 250 Ml
6-12 -250-1 l
12- 25- 1-1.5 liter
Above 25 - 1.5 liter.
Princple:
Without any stimulation or heat this releases stool from the intestine.
This therapy can be given in four ways.
1) Lying down on back
2) Lying down on abdomen
3) Right side lying down
4) knee chest position

Generally lying down on back is followed. The patient is made lay donw making lower portion higher. Vessel is about 2-4 feet higher and fixed. Rubber in inserted about 2-3 inches.Make sure no air left in rubber by passing water, ie let water reach till the end of the water tube and insert. Legs are bent at knee. Patient is asked to breath long and gentle anticlockways massage on abdomen. When little amount of water is left out, close the tap. Around in 3 minutes all the water goes inside. Finally  2 minutes left then 2 minutes right side and 1 minute straight. Generally patient can hold water  5 - 7 minutes if possible. If patient don't feel to go toilet, patient is asked to walk, but should not force to excrete.
Action reaction: Warm water expansion happens in intestine so pasted waste leave its place.And get mixed with water and comes out.Cold water makes intestine aware so provides strength.

Contra indication:
Very weak patient
Malaria fever,
Acute heart diseases
Ulceritive colitis
Bleeding colitis

Precautions:
1) Water should not be to warm or too cold.
2) Utencis should be clean.
3) Shoul not be done in sitting position.
4) Water should be slowly passed since every single patient has different capable.
5) If there is no bleeding, enima can be given careful.
6) Once a day
7) Food should not be taken at least for half an hour after enima 3-4 hours before enima
