Mudra and Bandha
Mudra:
Special gesture or gist that express the state of mind is known as mudra. This is more powerful than asana and pranayama. By the practice of mudra we can reach to the ultimate state of spirituality. This whole universe is made up of five fundamental elements. Our body is also made up of these five elements. Five fingers represent these five elements.
Thumb- Sun element
Index- Air element
Middle finger- Sky element
Ring finger- Earth element
Little- Water element
By balanced state of these five elements body becomes healthy and imbalance make the body unhealthy.

Bandha
It means fastening, band, bondage i.e. to connect, tie or link one with other.
This is a small and important part of yoga practice.
Types of bandha
There are four types:
Jalandhar bandha
Moola bandha
Uddyan bandha
Maha bandha

Moola bandha
Benefits
1) Helpful for kundalini awakening.
2) Strengthens reproductive system
3) Good for indignation, constipation.
4) All the benefits of Jalandhar bandha can be achieved.
Contra- indication
Same as jalandhar bandha
Concentration - muladhar chakra
Uddyana bandha: Benefits
1) Improves digestive system.
2) Good for diabetes.
3) Massages internal organs of heart and abdominal region. Increases the energy of those region.
4) Brings glow in face removing wrinkle.
Contra indication
If any wound or injury , pregnancy
Maha bandha
Concentration- muladhar, manipura and vishuddhi.
1) All the benefits of above three benefits
2) Amazing benefits for awakening kundalini
3) Its practice manages hormone of pituatary gland.
4) Decreases ageing process.
5) Balances and activates prana
Contra indication
1) All as above three.
